The Associated Press reported that China is now hitting US auto manufacturing companies with tariffs from 2 – 21% on autos made with engines larger than 2.5 liters.
General Motors Co., Chrysler Group Ltd., Mercedes-Benz U.S. International Inc., BMW’s factory in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Honda of America would be affected.
The US government said it will take the matter up with Congress before deciding on their response.
Another poke at the US government to re-examine picking up across the board tariffs against China for being a “exchange rate manipulator” is not what we need.
